This coming Sunday, 10th March, 1-4 pm, Pat Bray, returns to lead a workshop in Life Drawing. This will be the last workshop of the session. The following week, starting from 7 pm, Irene Coulthard will demonstrate her skills in Sgraffito and Mishima. Irene teaches a range of decorative ceramic techniques, and also slip painting techniques. Irene has also written articles for a popular craft magazine, showing step by step instructions on how to cast, fire and decorate ceramic items. With only a few weeks left of this term members are working hard to get ready for our Open Weekend and Annual Exhibition from Saturday 24th March until Saturday 30th March. There will be paintings, ceramics, and a wide range of craft items on display. There will be artists demonstrating their skills in painting in the painting studio and activities for children in the pottery. Although this term ends at the end of March we have some 'Summer term' classes' over April and May. These classes are open to non members. Any one can sign up for painting, printing and pottery, wherever there are spaces. It is a chance for people to try out painting, printing and pottery without having to join the art club.
